Tone Matrix

Andre Michelle has created (among many other awesome things) a great sinewave synthesizer triggered by an ordinary 16-step sequencer called ToneMatrix.
What exactly that means, I couldn't tell you, but the music and fun that it creates is fantastic!

Sigur Ros at the MoMA
I wish I was cool enough to have been here!
Shot live at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City on Icelandic Independence Day, Sigur Rós @ MoMA is a unique concert film highlighting new material from the band's latest album, "með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust", as well as classic Sigur Rós songs. Directed by Alex Simmons.

Honda Civic Musical Road
The Santa Monica ad agency RPA cut half-inch grooves into a quarter-mile stretch of Avenue K, in Lancaster, California.
The grooves were synched in such a way that driving over them at precisely 55mph caused Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” — a.k.a. the Lone Ranger theme — to echo in the air around you.
Fantastic idea. So so results. Angered neighbors.

Hidden Radio

I haven't seen a product design that has impressed me this much in a long time...
The Hidden Radio has no visible user interface - but in fact, the entire radio IS the user interface. Push the radio down (or pull up) to adjust the volume and rotate the radio to tune in a station.
Read more about it here.
Beautiful. Simple. Elegant. Did I mention I like this?

Xiu Xiu Polaroids

I am forever a sucker for Polaroids. 1000 Polaroids were shot by David Horvitz to be used for the cover of a Xiu Xiu/High Places split seven-inch. Each record will have a real polaroid on the cover.

Music Video Created with 1979 Apple II Plus
This great video for Grandaddy's "Jed's Other Poem" is entirely created with a 1979 Apple II Plus with 48K of RAM. Which is insane because I am fairly sure that your cell phone has at least 500 times that much memory. It was created by this chap.
